Bestiary - Defenders of Steneval |
| |
Prince Ilshen & the Defenders of Steneval
The youngest of the Master Summoners, Prince Ilshen is the heir to the
throne of Steneval, the civilized kingdom of men, dwarves, and gnomes that
stretches across the rich valleys east of the Jogen Mountains. Ever since the
founding of the Kingdom of Steneval, there has been peace among the free
peoples and prosperity has stretched across the known realm. Great advancements
in technology, industry, and art have come about and for the first
time in ages, the peoples of the world work together to build a society that
benefits all of the civilized races. This prosperity does not come without a
price, however, and whenever evil things from the lands beyond their borders
threaten to disrupt their harmony, the Defenders of Steneval rally their
forces to protect their homes and families. The bravest and most stalwart
warriors from the three races have pledged their services to ensure that wherever
the sovereignty of Steneval is threatened, the Defenders of Steneval will
be there to protect it. Applying the resources of the royal family, Prince
Ilshen has studied tirelessly to unlock the mysteries of magic and the materials
that shape it and give it form. Ilshen is a young, handsome wizard with
keen eyes, strong shoulders, and a commanding presence. He wields a finely
crafted crystal wand as his focus and bravely leads his allies into battle when
needed, dressed in a stout suit of silver armor crafted by the dwarven guildsmen
of Steneval. He has learned of the island through careful research of the
Shezarian Stones and has mounted an expedition to find the Stones in order
to take control of them with the aid of the Defenders of Steneval so that their
kingdom may remain strong and well protected against the evils that plague
the lands outside their valleys. Ilshen wishes to use the power of the Stones
to destroy the magical focus of each of the evil Master Summoners, leaving
them powerless to pose a further threat to the harmony of the civilized people
of Thranok. |
